A Trip to the zoo

The arrival of the pandas at Edinburgh zoo inspired my ‘A trip to the zoo’ project. I collected photographs and sketches of some of my favourite animals; penguins, Pandas, otters, and a warthog. I then developed my sketches in editing programmes to add colour and create patterns. I applied these illustrations and patterns to interior textiles, greeting cards, and postcards and sold my ‘A Trip to the Zoo’ range at craft fairs and in independent craft shops.

Vintage furniture

 

Inspired by my creative parents I have started to develop a range of vintage furniture and lighting inspired illustrations of their remastered pieces.

I hope to develop these into patterns for upholstery fabric.
